Will mail and parcel delivery take place on Labor Day?
(WHNT) – A common question as Labor Day approaches: Will I get mail or packages on Monday, September 5?
The United States Postal Service said post offices will be closed for retail transactions on Monday, September 6.
Delivery of regular mail will also be suspended nationwide and collection of mail will be restricted to blue mailboxes.
Priority Mail Express will continue to operate; USPS officials said it was open 365 days a year, including holidays.
Self-service kiosks will remain open. For a list of locations and the services they offer with a debit or credit card, visit the USPS locator website.
According to the company’s website, FedEx will be closed for the most part on Labor Day. FedEx Office locations will have modified hours with some locations closed; call your local location to confirm times. Critical package deliveries will always be made.
UPS will be closed, including UPS stores; the only open service will be critical package deliveries.
