Paul Pogba confirms Juventus return after leaving Manchester United
Juventus have completed the signing of Paul Pogba, who joins the club from Manchester United for the second time in his career.
The French international midfielder, 29, returns to the Turin club on a free transfer after his contract at Old Trafford expired, ending a disappointing six-year second spell.
Pogba arrived in Italy on a private jet on Friday and his medical was on Saturday before he put pen to paper on his final contract with Juventus.
Juventus then officially announced their return in a statement on Monday.

He said: “When we say goodbye after an intense shared adventure together, there is always a glimmer of hope that we will see each other again, sooner or later.
“With Paul, that’s exactly what happened. In 2016, our paths parted after four incredible years.
“Years in which a talented young French player went from making his first-team debut as a teenager to scoring his first goal less than a month after making his bow.
“Years in which we learned to hold our breath in anticipation every time we saw him aiming from outside the box, because we knew how it could end, and we often did, with a roar of joy.
“To be precise, Paul has scored 14 times from outside the penalty area in his four seasons in Serie A, head-to-head with Miralem Pjanic at the top of that specific scoreboard.
“The years in which Pogba developed into a world-class talent, winning trophy after trophy in the black and white stripes, and closing in on Champions League glory in 2015.

The 29-year-old Frenchman was also captured alongside Italian midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
“He scored 12 goals in his final season in Turin to come away with a total of 34 goals scored and 32 assists, making him a direct contributor to 66 goals overall.
“Then we said goodbye, and in the meantime his talent and power showed when as an integral part of his national team he contributed to France’s triumph in the 2018 World Cup.
“Although we parted, we never really forgot each other, and there is something ancestral about the call that, after a thousand adventures, ends up bringing you home.
“Paul is back in Turin. He left as a boy and comes back as a man and a champion, but one thing hasn’t changed: the desire to write unforgettable pages of club history together again.
“Pogba is back and we couldn’t be happier.”
Paul Pogba has teased he is set to join Juventus on a free transfer on Friday
It has been reported that Pogba has agreed a four-year deal with the Italian giants.
“I’m back, I’m here, I’m very, very happy. I can’t wait to get started and wear that Juventus shirt again,’ Pogba said on the club’s Twitter account after returning from Miami.
Pogba will be hoping to replicate the success of his four-year stint with Juventus between 2012 and 2016, which saw him win four straight Serie A titles and build a reputation as one of the most dynamic midfielders in the world.
It was this form that persuaded United to break the world transfer record to bring him back to Manchester in the summer of 2016.
The £89m man helped Jose Mourinho’s side win the Europa League and EFL Cup in his debut season but other silverware has eluded him.
The 29-year-old also gave fans a brief look at his flight path from Miami to Italy
Pogba, who scored 39 times in 226 appearances in his second spell at United, came as a symbol of their decline from a title-challenging force to a top-six finish.
It ended in acrimony, with Pogba mocked as he walked off the pitch in a match with Norwich at Old Trafford, with frustrated United fans chanting ‘f*** off Pogba’ as he held her ear in response.
Ahead of his second outing, Pogba also angered United supporters for perhaps the last time after clips of his new documentary were released earlier this month.
A section of the documentary shows Pogba and his late agent Mino Raiola discussing a £300,000-a-week contract offer from the Red Devils, which he described as “nothing”.

“How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and not offer him anything?” he said. ‘I have never seen that.’
To complicate matters for United fans, Pogba received a £3.78million loyalty bonus on leaving the club.
The 2018 World Cup winner will be hoping to resurrect his career in the familiar surroundings of Turin and also restore Juventus to title contender status following the success of the two Milan clubs of late.
After working with former Juventus star Paulo Dybala in the US this week, Pogba was filmed happily rubbing his hands on his flight back to Turin, saying “it’s time” on Instagram .
In the same video of himself on the private jet, Pogba used the hashtag ‘PogAlmostBack’ – a reference to the phrase ‘PogBack’ United used when they themselves re-signed him a while ago six years.
The midfielder’s six seasons at Man United have been marred by injuries and inconsistencies
He was a popular figure during his first spell at Juventus, helping them win four Scudettos
Dressed in black and white – the colors of Juventus – Pogba says to the camera: “It’s time… it’s time. Yes sir. Ci vediamo presto’ – which translates into Italian as ‘see you soon’.
He also briefly showed fans a glimpse of his flight path from Miami to presumably Turin.
Juventus are ready for the pre-season tour of the United States later this month.
They will face Mexican club Guadalajara in Las Vegas on July 22, Barcelona in Dallas on July 26 and Real Madrid in Los Angeles on July 30 as part of the Soccer Champions Tour.
They will open their league campaign at home to Sassuolo on August 15.
