Newcastle and West Ham ‘ready for summer transfer battle over Chelsea’s Armando Broja’
Newcastle and West Ham ‘are set for summer transfer battle over Armando Broja’ as Chelsea loan star ‘attracts interest from top European clubs’ after starring for Saints
- Armando Broja, on loan from Chelsea, has sparked interest in a summer move
- Newcastle and West Ham are interested in signing the 20-year-old striker
- Italian giants Inter and AC Milan are also pursuing the signing of the Albanian
- The Cobham academy product has scored six goals for Southampton this year
Chelsea loan star Armando Broja has sparked interest from a number of Premier League clubs for a potential transfer after a successful debut season with Southampton.
The Albanian striker has scored nine goals in all competitions for Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side – his six league contributions making him the club’s third top scorer this season.
Despite Thomas Tuchel’s desires to bring Broja back to the club next year, the striker could be tempted by a move away from Stamford Bridge as potential suitors start to line up.

According to GOALPremier League sides Newcastle, West Ham and Southampton are all interested in signing the Albanian on a permanent deal.
Serie A giants AC Milan, Inter and Napoli are also reportedly following Broja’s development and could launch respective moves for him this summer.
Last week, Thomas Tuchel expressed his desire to bring Broja and fellow loanee Conor Gallagher back to Chelsea for pre-season – but offered no guarantees on a long-term plan for either.
Tuchel said: “First of all, they will come back because they are our players. When we loan them out, we do it for them but also so that we can bring back better and more experienced players.
“They are our players and I want to have them in pre-season and then we decide what happens.”

Although no market price has been set for the Albanian, it leaves Chelsea in a situation where they have to choose whether to profit from Broja’s actions or keep him for the future.
The 20-year-old has lit up St Mary’s this season after a successful loan spell with Vitesse where he became the highest scoring teenager in Europe’s top 10 leagues.
Broja is currently contracted to Chelsea until 2026, but with Lukaku, Werner and Havertz likely ahead of him in the pecking order, that could see the Albanian leave this summer.
