With over 60% of the US population vaccinated, more and more people are starting to get the travel virus again. This spring break is expected to be one of the busiest times of the year.
Whether you’re planning to get away for a few days or a few weeks, a few insider travel tips can save you time and money.
First, plan to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday, or Saturday afternoon to catch cheaper domestic flights. Save even more by booking the first or last flight of the day. You can connect your home airport and getaway location to Google Flights or Kayak Explorer to see the cheapest times to fly. Sign up to receive free email alerts. Sites such as Google Flights, Scott’s Cheap Flights or airfare-watchdog to get early access to discount codes and flash sales.
Consider purchasing a vacation package. Online travel agencies lock in the lowest fares early and combine them with cheap hotel stays.
