Closures for Monday Memorial Day weekend

All San Diego County public offices, family resource centers, libraries and animal shelters will be closed on Monday, May 30 for the Memorial Day holiday, according to a County News Service spokeswoman.

There will be no mail delivery on Monday. And according to the USPS website, “Although there is no regular mail service, Priority Mail Express ships 365 days a year and will be delivered on May 30. Normal delivery and collection times will resume on Tuesday, May 31.

All residential curbside pickups will have a one-day delay. So let’s say your bins are picked up on Monday, for this commemorative week the pickup will be Tuesday. All commercial dumpster collections will remain on the regular schedule.

Law enforcement, animal control emergency response and other essential services will continue during the holidays.

County parks, campgrounds, and neighborhood day-use parks will remain open, with the exception of the following locations:

Fallbrook Community Center

Camping reservations can be made online at the county’s Online Camping Reservations webpage, but the Department of Parks and Recreation’s reservations phone line will not operate during the holidays.

All county offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 31.
