A spokesperson for Pizza Express said: “Our Bolognese sauce is made in the UK.
“Carrier shortages were the reason for the brief shortage. Our range of pizzas has not been affected.
“Following a temporary shortage, our Bolognese deliveries are resuming and we are back in stock this week.”
But he hasn’t been able to say when this week the dish will be back on the menu at its hundreds of outlets.
