Batgirl FIRST LOOK: Leslie Grace Transforms Into Iconic Superhero

Leslie Grace gave moviegoers a first look at her iconic Batgirl costume ahead of the upcoming HBO Max film’s release on Saturday.

The actress, 27, took to her social media pages to share a photo of herself in her costume in the film in which she plays the title character.

Leslie slipped into the royal blue jumpsuit in a snap, with the Batgirl logo emblazoned across her front.

Leslie wore a golden cape that moved behind her in the breeze as she wore a matching belt.

The star looked through a dark mask in the image as she posed on a dark night.

Along with her post, she shared a quote from Batgirl: Year One, written by Scott Beatty and Chuck Dixon.

Leslie wrote: “”I’m using their expectations against them. This will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me…

The movie star won the role of Batgirl in July last year, breaking the news to fans on Twitter at the time.

“BEYOND EXCITED to play Barbara Gordon, your #Batgirl!” she wrote.

She added: ‘I can’t believe what I’m writing rn… THANK YOU DC for the hospitality [me] to the family! I’m ready to give her everything I have!

The Batgirl movie will follow Barbara, the daughter of Gotham Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by JK Simmons, reprising her role from Justice League.

Leslie is set to star alongside Michael Keaton as The Dark Knight himself in the next film, with filming beginning in Glasgow earlier this week as the team transforms the city into Gotham.

She was spotted holding hands with co-star Ethan Kai on the set of Batgirl this week.

The Heights actress will take on the lead role in the film while Ethan’s character has yet to be announced. It appears the couple were rehearsing scenes as on-screen lovers for the film.

It’s a big role for Ethan, who starred in Emmerdale and shows such as Killing Eve.

Rebecca Front and Corey Johnson will also be part of the cast.

The long-awaited superhero project has been in the works since 2017.

More than three decades after being the first Batman on the big screen, Keaton will once again don the cape and cowl.

The 70-year-old actor recently signed on to return as Batman aka Bruce Wayne on Warner Bros. and the HBO Max film Batgirl, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Keaton played the very first Dark Knight on the big screen in 1989’s Batman, which he reprized in 1992’s Batman Returns.

The Batgirl movie will follow Barbara, the daughter of Gotham Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by JK Simmons, reprising her role from Justice League.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys For Life) are directing Batgirl from a screenplay by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey).

The film does not yet have a release date.

But it’s expected to debut on the new streaming service and forgo a theatrical release.
